Progeny

Djerk was bred by Suzanne Lacourie and imported by Staveley & Greenfield in 1988, as an 8-month calf. Djerk has become a household name in both the Limousin and commercial worlds. His progeny continue, year on year, to achieve great success at shows and sales the countrywide. Staveley sons have averaged 4,000, and daughters 2,500 at the national sales.
At the Royal Smithfield Festival of Meat in 2000 he was grand sire of the supreme champion carcass as he was in 1998 when the supreme carcase was sold for a record price of 10,000 to Rules Restaurant, Covent Garden. London, U.K.

In 1999, a daughter of Djerk (Staveley Olwen) was Supreme Pedigree Heifer Champion at both Birmingham Prime Fatstock and The Welsh Winter Fair, and in the latter went on to win Reserve Supreme Heifer Champion.
In 2000 Djerk sons have been selling to 6,000 at the October bull sales
